USplash Fingerprint Theme (Page @ Gnome-Look)

USplash is a program to edit the Splash Screen while loading Gnome. This theme has a solution of 1024 * 768 pixels an looks quite cool. It is based on a work released on ked-look.org released under the GPL-License.

A version for (the in Ubuntu 10.04 used) Plymouth is planned. I will work on it as soon as I get time.

Grub2 Fingerprint (Page @ Gnome-Look)

Grub2 Fingerprint is a background image for Grub 2. The most rececnt version is 0.1-ubuntu2

On Ubuntu 10.04 you can use the PPA for installing:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:phylu/boot-fingerprint
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install grub2-fingerprint

On other versions or distributions download version 0.1, unpack, and run the install.sh – That’s it.

   Ich habe gerade eben das Stylesheet geändert, um hier Kommentare zuzulassen. Ich hoffe, es gefällt.

   Ich brauche Hilfe!
   nach dem ich: $ sudo apt-get install grub2-fingerprint in terminal ausführe bekomme ich folgendes:
   […]

   xxxxx@xxxxx-desktop:~$ sudo apt-get install grub2-fingerprint
   […]
   Richte grub2-fingerprint ein (0.1ubuntu2) …
   /etc/default/grub: 9: splash: not found
   dpkg: Fehler beim Bearbeiten von grub2-fingerprint (–configure):
   Unterprozess installiertes post-installation-Skript gab den Fehlerwert 127 zurück
   Fehler traten auf beim Bearbeiten von:
   grub2-fingerprint
   E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

     Für mich sieht das nicht wie ein Problem meines Themas, sondern wie ein Problem von Grub aus.

     Versuch bitte mal mein Thema wieder zu deinstallieren, und dann grub neu einzulesen und schaue, ob der Fehler dann auch auftritt.
     sudo apt-get remove grub2-fingerprint
sudo update-grub

     Und ein paar weitere Informationen zu deinem System (Distribution, Version, Grub-Version, Plymouth (oder Usplash)-Thema)
